Greetings Family, Friends and Supporters,
The Alpha Alpha Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is proud to award scholarships to recognize outstanding high school seniors in the Anson and Union counties who are attending an accredited 4-year college or university who demonstrates high scholastic achievement; proven leadership; and have actively participated in community service. This year we are excited to announce the Alpha Alpha Chi Omega Scholarship fundraiser in honor of our dear sorority sister, Mrs. Belynda Little Horne.
Mrs. Horne attended public schools of Anson County, graduating from Bowman Senior High in 1982. She is an alumna of Winston Salem State University where she earned a BS in Education. She earned her Master of Education at Winthrop College in Rock Hill, SC. Mrs. Horne was very community oriented and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, PHA, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and a proud 35-year member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. 
Mrs. Horne began her teaching career at Robert Small School in Cheraw, SC. Moving back home, she continued at East Union Middle School where she worked for over 30+ years. She enjoyed working with the youth and teaching them life skills to be successful young people of society. She also enjoyed working with the Gleaners. Mrs. Horne believed in pushing them to be the “best of the best” and never taking “no” for an answer. She was a faithful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, Godmother, supporter, and encourager.
We are dedicated to continuing Alpha Kappa Alpha’s legacy in promoting high scholastic and ethical standards through service and scholarship. During September 19th-30th, AAXO will be doing an online fundraising campaign to raise funds in support of our scholarship fund. We ask for your support in awarding scholarships to deserving graduating high school seniors in Anson and Union Counties in the upcoming school year!
This year our goal is to raise $5000
Contributions can be made by one of the following means by September 30, 2021:
